This typically Los Campesinos! titled song isn’t from their upcoming album, it’s an outtake from their debut. That fact alone must cement their reputation as the UK’s most productive band and the song isn’t even bad!
It’s more punkish, more abrasive and generally more hyperactive than anything off ‘Hold on now, Youngster’ which is saying a lot. There are plenty of time and tempo changes throughout. Maddeningly disorganised shifts in melody and instrumentation, from grinding guitars to melodic serene violins. And through all the mayhem they just seem to make it work.
