So, another US festival with a painfully outstanding line-up, and another tribute to the Beastie Boys. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs – who filled the Beasties headline slot in the 11th hour – paid tribute by closing their performance of Phenomenon with the riff from ‘So What’cha’ Want’, much to the appreciation of the crowd.
The band seem to be having a pretty good year. I only realised earlier that I will have seen them three times by the time this year is out. Hope they’ve still got a few more riotous performances in the vein of their Glastonbury appearance left in them.
