Braids – Lemonade

Otherworldly vocals set over a sprawling, reverberant post-rock background – soothing stuff. Dirty Projectors on Valium/ a talented Foals. Standell-Preston sounds a bit like a young Bjork here and has a few vocal eccentricities elsewhere that reminds me of Kate Bush or a tolerable Joanna Newsom (no, really).

The album, Native Speaker, Slipped under the BNM radar a couple of days ago. Cokemachineglow give it fairer treatment. Check it out.
